New Africa Investments Limited (“NAIL”)

NAIL is a JSE listed media company. NAIL’s primary asset is a 24.9% state in Kaya FM, a Johannesburg based radio station. Capricorn holds a 27% equity interest in NAIL.

Eurosteel Group

Eurosteel is the second largest stainless steel distributor in South Africa . The Group also distributes aluminium products for Hulamin and performs value added services for customers in stainless steel, aluminium and carbon steel. Capricorn acquired an indirect 10% stake in Eurosteel in March 2006 when it facilitated a BEE transaction for the Company, whereby the Isitali Consortium acquired a 25% stake in Eurosteel. Capricorn owns 40% of the Isitali Consortium. Capricorn made a further direct investment of 7% in Eurosteel in August 2006.

Westbrooke

Westbrooke is a private equity company with investments in Coricraft, Buildmax and Toolquip. Capricorn holds a 27% equity interest in Westbrooke.

Mobile Holdings

Peach Mobile , CMG and MHG are content providers for cell phones. Capricorn acquired a 25% stake in these companies in June 2006.

Toolquip

Toolquip is a large distributor of industrial tools and equipment. Capricorn funded a black empowerment investment by African Revival into Toolquip in April 2007, which acquired a 25% stake in the business.

Izwe Loans

Izwe Loans is a micro-lender focussed on home improvement loans. Capricorn acquired a 32.5% shareholding in Izwe Loans in May 2007.

SA Motor Loans (“SAML”)

SAML is a motor vehicle finance provider with a nationwide sales force focussed on independent dealers. Capricorn acquired a 30% stake in Paleo Holdings, the holding company of SAML, in July 2007.

Profibre Products (Pty) Ltd

Profibre is a leading South African designer, manufacturer and supplier of glass reinforced plastic composites. Profibre supplies mainly to original equipment manufacturers in the commercial automotive market. Capricorn acquired a 71.5% shareholding in Profibre in December 2008.
